Rotary Club of Heirisson Science Scholarship 2024

 

Introduction

Mount Lawley Senior High School aims to maximise the enjoyment of learning and achievement for all students within a compassionate and democratic school culture, encouraging them to be responsible, creative and engaged lifelong learners.

 

Science Scholarships

The Rotary Club of Heirisson Science Scholarship is offered to a student entering Year 11 in 2024. To be awarded the Year 11 scholarship, a student must be enrolled in at least one senior secondary Science Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) course.

The students awarded one of the scholarships will be expected to maintain high standards of behaviour, attend school regularly and achieve acceptable results.

 

Value of the Scholarships

The value of the scholarships is as follows:

The scholarship may be expended on course contributions or charges or on school uniform items (from the School's Uniform Supplier).

 

Selection Criteria

The criteria for selecting the winner of the scholarships is as follows:

  1. Academic Achievement, especially in Science.
  2. Interest in Science.

 

Students applying for the scholarship are to submit the following:

  • Application Form.
  • Statement from the student addressing the selection criteria (maximum one typed page).

Applications must be submitted no later than 3.30pm on Friday, 10 November 2023.

The school reserves the right not to award the scholarship to the highest ranked student if that student is in receipt of another scholarship.

Applicants will be advised on the outcome as soon as possible. The scholarship will be presented at a school assembly.
