School Reunions

Each year there are a number of reunions for alumni. These are usually scheduled around significant anniversaries - 10, 20, 25 years, etc - or around significant milestones - 'We are all turning 60 this year' for example.

Reunions are advertised on the school's Lawley Alumni Facebook page.

If you would like to advertise your reunion, or would like some help or advice in planning one, then please speak to Andrew (0419 048 310) or email our Lawley Alumni Coordinators.

The Old '55 Annual Reunion:

Held at the Charles Hotel (509 Charles Street North Perth) on the 5 May at 5:55pm each year.

The Class of 1959 (aka Old 55) meets informally every year at 5:55 p.m. on 5 May. The date and time was chosen as "all the fives" to represent 1955, the year of the first intake of students to Mount Lawley SHS. Modern terminology now refers to the original intake as "foundation" students and "foundation" teachers. Most people attending the reunion turn up nearer to 7:00. Most people stay for less than three hours. The evening usually attracts from 50 to 60 ex-students. The evening is really low key! There are no speeches and there is no organisation. Mingle! Some students from the Class of 1972 always join us. They are also "Old 55" as they were born in 1955.
