Music Scholarship, 2021
Introduction
Mount Lawley Senior High School is a school that has served its community for over 50 years. It has an esteemed reputation in the community and counts amongst its alumni high achievers such as, civic leaders, academics, professionals, tradespeople sporting people and artists.

Rotary Club of Mount Lawley Music Scholarship
In accordance with the school's Values and focus on academic excellence, a Music scholarship is offered to a student entering Year 11 in 2021 who aspires to be an exceptional musician. To be awarded the Music scholarship, a student must be enrolled in a senior secondary Music Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) course.
The student awarded the scholarship will be expected to maintain high standards of behaviour, attend school regularly and achieve acceptable results throughout Years 11 and 12.
Value of the Scholarship
The benefit of the scholarship is to cover costs associated with school-based music education and music performance in
Years 11/12. This includes:
- Course charges.
- Camps and seminars.
- Instrument hire.
The scholarship cannot be used to fund private lessons or other home-focused activities.
The total scholarship is valued up to $900. These funds can be used over the two year period.
Selection Criteria
The criteria for selecting the winner of the scholarship is as follows:
- Academic Achievement, especially in Music.
- Interest in Music.
Students applying for the scholarship are to submit the following:
- Application Form.
- Copy of last school report.
- Statement from the student addressing the selection criteria (maximum one typed page).
