The Korean Scholarship

In accordance with the school's Values and focus on academic excellence, one scholarship is offered to students entering Year 11 in 2017.  To be awarded the Year 11 scholarship, a student must be enrolled in Certificate II of Applied Languages Studies (Korean).

The students awarded the scholarships will be expected to maintain high standards of behaviour, attend school regularly and achieve acceptable results.

Scholarship Value

The value of the scholarships is as follows:

The scholarship may be expended on course contributions or charges or on school uniform items (from the School's Uniform Shop).

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Scholarship applicants must be enrolled in Certificate II of Applied Languages Studies (Korean).

Note: Failure to comply with this condition may result in the withdrawal of the Scholarship.

The school reserves the right not to award the scholarship to the highest ranked candidate if that student has already won a scholarship.

Selection Process

The Scholarship will be advertised to the school and wider population.

The selection process will be based upon:

  • Academic Achievement, especially in Korean.
  • Interest in Korean.

The Scholarship will be presented to the successful applicant at a school assembly.
