Gifted & Talented OzCLO Competition

Students from all over the state were recently given the opportunity to decode dozens of dialects at the annual OzCLO (The Australian Computational and Linguistics Olympiad) Language Competition. Mount Lawley was able to field its fair share of teams of Gifted and Talented Language students comprising of students from Y ear s S even to T en.

Pupils put their problem-solving to the test, finding solutions to many language-based questions. Tactics, time management and teamwork play a pivotal role in an epic battle to figure out various vernaculars.

Pizza was the ultimate prize for the pupil’s marathon efforts, with students gorging on authentic Italian bites. The delicacies were a well-earned reward and a way to recover after hours of concentration and focus.
