Somewhere, always, is a child trembling in fear, an angel weeping in grief, a snake swallowing itself in the pits of a desert and a cynical mind bathing in blood.

Allow your grief to be bigger than any moon and join the Year 11 Production of “You’re Not Beautiful: Protection of the Lost and Unloved” on the 16thand 17thof September to witness both madness and serenity of developing a “better world” for our future generations.

Distracted Theatre Company presents YOU’RE NOT BEAUTIFUL: PROTECTION OF THE LOST AND UNLOVED created by the Year 11 Drama General and Drama ATAR students. The evening performances will commence on Monday the 16 th of September and Tuesday the 17 th of September, and will be taking place at the Tricycle Theatre at Mount Lawley Senior High School (65 Woodsome Street Mount Lawley WA 6050) 7:00 PM. As part of the General and ATAR course, the Year 11 Drama students each have acting and production roles with two separate performances. Each performance explores the important dynamics of creating a “better world” for the future.

Performances will use theatrical ideas developed by Bertolt Brecht and Jerzy Grotowski, among others that have been studied in class.

You’re Not Beautiful: Protection of the Lost and Unloved is an eye-opening experience where childhood is thwarted by endearing fairy-tales, television ads that enhance self-love, and a celebration of both life and madness is apparent. Or is it?
