Class of 1993 Tour the School for their 25th Anniversary

About 30 members of the Class of 1993 returned to the school for the first part of their 25 Year School Reunion.

The Tour, on Saturday 27th October, was conducted by our long-time School Chaplain, Andrew Paul. Andrew also has a role as our Lawley Alumni Coordinator, and was only in his second year as School Chaplain when these students graduated.

The Class of 1993 was able to look through many of the school buildings and tour a campus that has changed so much since they attended - the major redevelopment happened over 10 years after they left.

They found the old Girls & Boys Gyms, the old Drama Room and were able to stand in the middle of what used to be 'the sacred lawn' (that no student was to walk on).

There was great amazement and enthusiasm for the new facilities, joined with a chorus of 'Why didn't we have this?' sort of comments.

There were a few perspective changes as well, with many of them (in their early 40's) now with children approaching high school age.

The Class of 1993 then moved to the Queens Hotel to continue their reunion well into the evening.

It was great to have so many return for the tour.

Thank you for coming back to see the place.

If you have a school reunion planned, and are interested in a school tour, please contact Andrew through Lawley Alumni.
