From Phys Ed Class to Australian Selection ... in 6 Months!
Congratulations to Jess (Year 11) who has been selected to represent Australia in the U/20 Womens Ultimate Frisbee Team in the World Championships in Poland later this year.
Only about 6 months ago, Jess learnt about Ultimate Frisbee in her Phys Ed class with Miss Tempone.
"I didn't know it was a sport", she said, "Up until then, I thought a frisbee was something you threw to your dog."
After becoming interested in the sport, Jess looked up a local club, and has made rapid progress to the Australian womens team.
Here's hoping she can go from just finding out about the sport to world champion in less than 12 months.
Jess has created a GoFundMe page to help her with her expenses.
