Our Indigenous Art Project
A painting created by our Year 12 (graduating) students and our Year 7 & 8 (incoming) students, and conceived by one of our alumni students has just been completed.
Jade Dolman (Class of 2012), an Indigenous artist began the project as part of our Year 12 Chill Out Day in Term 3.
With plenty left to do at the end of the session, the project was expanded to include the school's two new year groups this year, Year 7 and Year 8.
The students were volunteers, were given basic instruction, and then able to add their own elements to the work.
The design of the painting symbolises the path from childhood to adulthood, particularly fitting in the context of a high school.
Congratulations to the many students who participated, and to our Student Services staff for their contribution.
The painting will be framed and hung on the wall between Student Services and the Library in 2016.
