Early Start Program (Rollover)

Term 4 is progressing rapidly and next week students will commence their final assessments for the 2015 academic year. Students and staff have been preparing for the Early Start Program when they will commence their studies for the 2016 academic courses on Tuesday, 10 November. Please find below key information and dates for Year 10 and Year 11 students for the remainder of 2015.

  • Year 11 exams commence Monday, 26 October and run until Friday, 6 November. [All student courses will be administering some form of final assessment over this time.]
  • Year 11 students are expected to be at school for their allocated exams or assessments, otherwise they are not required to attend. Students may also elect to contact staff at school to gain help in preparation for their exams during this period.
  • If students are absent for an assessment due to illness, they will need a medical certificate submitted to the Senior School reception, preferably on the day of the assessment.
  • Year 10 exams commence on Thursday, 29 October and run until Friday, 6 November. Students need only to be present for their exams which generally conclude around the middle of the day. Students are then released to go home and prepare for the exam the following day.
  • Students regular 2015 timetable will continue between Monday, 9 November and Lunch 1 on Tuesday, 10 November.
  • Year 10 and 11 students will be issued with their new timetable for the Early Start Program on Monday, 9 November with the program commencing on Tuesday, 10 November during Period 3.
  • The last day of school for Year 10 and 11 students in 2015 is Friday, 11 December.

The Early Start Program affords students the opportunity to ascertain whether the course they have selected is the best fit for their capabilities, aspirations and work ethic. Students will be able to change their course (within the constraints of the timetable) until week 3 of 2016. It is, however, an advantage to be in the right course and settled as soon as possible.

Term 4 will be a particularly important time as it will act as a springboard into the successes of next year. Many new students will be joining the school population for the Early Start Program. We would like to take this opportunity to offer our best wishes to all our Senior School families for the Early Start Program and the subsequent Christmas holidays.
