Mrs Anita Chong, OAM

Congratulations to Mrs Anita Chong from all at Mount Lawley SHS and her past students and professional colleagues for her award of the Medal of the Order of Australia in the 2015 Queen's Birthday Honours List.

The award was for her services to foreign language education as a teacher and to professional organisations.

She has taught Mandarin at Mount Lawley SHS for many years and is a past President of both the Western Australian and Australian Chinese Language Teachers' associations.

She has also made a contribution to Chinese community groups such as the Chung Wah Association.

A richly deserved award.
