Welcome to 2015
The school year started on Monday with a range of new additions to the school.
Our Year 8 students began their first year in high school, as did our very first intake of Year 7 students.
Both groups settled into the Middle School Communities quickly, meeting their teachers and becoming familiar with the different classes and subjects.
The Minister of Education, Hon Peter Collier MLC, visited the school, and along with the Director General of Education, Ms Sharon O'Neill, opened our brand new Middle School building in a ceremony attended by representatives of all six year groups and a number of special guests.
The Minister also took time to visit our Year 7 students, and as a result, the school featured on a number of news broadcasts that evening.
The school also featured in the Education Department's article about the move of Year 7 to high school.
Year Nine students had the opportunity to experience the building on their first day, and were pleased to discover that many of their subjects will be hosted there.
Year 10 began the process of settling in to Senior School life and expectations, Year 11 are focusing on their studies in a more intense way, and Year 12 have finally found themselves as our oldest students.
Well done to everyone for the positive way in which they approached Day One, and thanks and congratulations to the staff for their work in getting the new facilities and our students up and running so efficiently.
Here's to a great year!
