High Achievers Breakfast
Yesterday morning we invited 67 high achieving Year 12 students and some of their teachers to breakfast.
The breakfast is a way of acknowledging the student's success and to encourage them to keep up their efforts.
Eric Li, a John Curtin Scholarship winner, spoke to the students about the importance of having a work/life balance.
Eric emphasised that students should not focus solely on study, but ensure that they engage in extracurricular activities including volunteering and sport.
We then adjourned to the Foods Room where the Year 11 and Year 12 Hospitality students served the most amazing breakfast.
All who attended were blown away by the spread of food and the imaginative way it was presented.
It was truly restaurant quality with a wide variety of tastes and textures.
The Home Economics Department once again did a fantastic job which showcased the talent of both the teaching staff and their students.
A huge thank you to all of the staff involved: Laraine Smart, Josee Baljic, Joanne Smit, Sue Chadwick and Natalie Ter Horst.
The students are to be congratulated for their efforts.
