The Grand Pack - Cambodia Trip 2013 Preparation
Tuesday was the day for sorting, arranging and packing all of the fantastic donations we have been given to take to Cambodia.
Clothes, toys, computers, cameras, stationary, personal items - all were incoming and about to be taken to Cambodia.
All donations will be taken by our year 11 students during the July holidays to the CHOICE Organization, which works with street people in the south eastern regions of Phnom Penh and the children of the New Futures Children's home in Takeo.
Both places are well off the "tourist beaten track" and deserving of as much help as we can give them.
Thank you to all who have donated - in items and money.
Watch the school website for the Lawley-NFO tour blog.
The Mount Lawley NFO Tour - Society & Environment
This tour is for Year 11 students who wish to extend their reach in community involvement and service. 12 students are to participate in the 17 day tour during the July school holidays. They will be studying the atrocities of the Cambodian history, visiting UNESCO sites, visiting and helping in street and village schools and working in an orphanage in Takeo province, south of Phnom Penh. It will be a life changing experience for all involved.
