Forensic Podiatry Visit
On Tuesday the 13th of November the year 8 and 9 GATE classes attended a talk on forensic podiatry by Dr Earl Louis.
Dr Louis, a former pupil of Mount Lawley, talked to the students about what exactly podiatry was, as well as forensics, before examining a real-life criminal case that he helped solve with his knowledge of this field.
He also elaborated on his experiences as a podiatrist and was able to answer many of the keen students' questions.
Dr Louis encouraged students to think "outside the box" when thinking of science and showed them many ways that different types of science can be applied to real situations.
All of the students that attended enjoyed the experience and hopefully are keen in perusing science with enthusiasm.
