National Skin Cancer Awareness Week
Get smart and prevent skin cancer: 18-24 November
Two in three Australians will develop skin cancer by the age of 70, but the good news is that skin cancer is almost totally preventable.
Combine these five simple steps to save your skin:
- Slip on sun protective clothing
- Slop on SPF 30+ sunscreen
- Slap on a brimmed hat
- Seek shade
- Slap on some sunglasses
And remember to take extra care when the UV index is 3 or above. This is often between 10am and 3pm.
Sunscreen is available at the Health Centre located in the Student Services building.
