Mount Lawley and Hangzhou No14 Reconnected! WA's longest established Sister School relationship was again consolidated through a visit and homestay by some of our students during a recent tour of China.
Staff, parents and students reported a fantastic experience and were generally humbled by the tremendous amount of hospitality shown to all. We were treated to some brilliant sightseeing around famous West Lake and to a light show on the lake.
It is these types of connections and exchanges that cement the relationship that is regarded as one of Australia's longest.
Our host school Hangzhou No14 has been an integral part of our China connection for decades and we value the connections which provide our students with experiences they would otherwise not encounter.
Both schools have had homestay students in each country and we hope that ideas have flowed between the students and indeed the schools.
A very progressive as well as hi-tech school, Hangzhou No14 has recently opened its Senior School Campus at another site where students can study for the U.S. university entrance examinations as well as for entrance to Chinese universities.
There were many things we could learn from and hopefully the information exchanges will continue for years to come.
