The Peter Sparbier Perpetual Mathematics Scholarship 2024

 

Peter Sparbier was a respected Mathematics Teacher at Mount Lawley Senior High School in the 1990s. Peter was passionate about mathematics and mathematics education. He passed away in January 2007 and in his estate, he bequeathed a sum of money to establish a perpetual scholarship for a Year 11 student to pursue his/her studies of mathematics to the highest levels.

The Scholarship is presented annually to an eligible Year 10 student for mathematics studies in Year 11 and 12.

 

Scholarship Value $2000

The Peter Sparbier Scholarship provides a prize up to the value of $2000 to a Year 11 student undertaking mathematics studies in Year 11 and 12.

The prize comprises:

The Scholarship is awarded to a Year 10 student in Term 4 prior to the commencement of studies in Year 11 the following year. The iPad or Notebook is provided or the monies are payable at the commencement of the year in which Year 11 studies commence.

Note: Failure to comply with these conditions may result in the withdrawal of the Scholarship.

The school reserves the right not to award the scholarship to the highest ranked candidate if that student has already won a scholarship.
