Learning Communities
Learning communities promote a team focus utilising the various groupings of students for the
benefit of all students and programs.
A strong working and collaborative relationship is established and maintained between the four communities
in the Middle School to ensure they work to common goals.
While acknowledging different teaching and learning styles, teachers of common Learning Areas will work closely together to ensure commonality of assessment and reporting.
All teachers will encourage students to strive to achieve their highest possible standard.
The teaching teams will also work closely with Library, ESL and Student Services staff to address the needs of students.
Each team is led by a Level 3 Team Leader aspecially selected for the role.
The structure allows for a Team focus across all programs in the Middle School. This serves to support the development of effective relationship across the Middle School.
